Scholarship Winner–Ion Powell

Congratulations to EE student Ion Powell, who has won a Brockman Scholarship to Texas A&M University!

The award covers a full ride including tuition, room, board, books and a stipend for 5 years! As a highly competitive scholarship, Ion credits his success to the numerous opportunities he has had through EE. He attended many different EE classes, was a key leader on EE's BEST Robotics team, assisted with the EARLY LEGO Robotics team, was a member of the EE Mock Trial team, and even did his Eagle Scout project to benefit EE! Ion heads to A&M with dozens of freshman and sophomore college credits already earned through dual credit classes. He will be majoring in Engineering and then continue to earn his MS in Business.

Way to go, Ion! We're so proud of you and pray God continues to reward you for your perseverance and servant's heart!
