Teaching

Experience

I began teaching in 2015 at a preschool in Sugar Land and have since taught in a homeschool hybrid, public high school, and private school settings in Magnolia. I have taught Math, Language Arts, History/Government, PE, and Art, working with students from early childhood through high school.

Qualifications

I bring 7 years of classroom teaching experience along with over a decade of homeschooling my own children. I am experienced in adapting lessons to meet a variety of learning styles, supporting students at different levels, and creating engaging, meaningful learning environments. I also completed coursework in Humanities at The University of Texas of the Permian Basin and was honored to be on the Dean’s List.

Fun Fact(s)

I own a small animal care business called The Farm Nanny, where I get to care for everything from horses to chickens. My family and I, along with other local Christians, helped create a faith-based feature film called Parallel The Triad, which is available on Amazon. I’ve loved horses since I was a little girl, and I enjoy making homemade holistic products ranging from skincare to wellness. I’m currently working toward starting a rescue ranch through a USDA beginning farmer program, which is a dream close to my heart.  Oh, and chocolate is my jam.

Background

I grew up in Pasadena, Texas, and after high school spent time living in Nevada, Oklahoma, and Indiana before settling back in Texas. After returning, I met my husband, and together we are raising our two children, Marley and Liam. Our home is full of life with four dogs, three cats, and a bunny, all on what I like to call our ‘tiny acre’ in Magnolia. We moved here from the Missouri City and Sugar Land area in 2018, and it has truly been one of the best decisions we’ve made as a family.
