Experience
I bring over 23 years of experience in youth education, with a focus on creating engaging, hands-on learning environments that help students truly connect with what they’re learning. I have taught middle school science in the classroom, where I supported students in building both foundational knowledge and confidence in STEM.
Beyond the classroom, I have designed and led innovative STEM programs at institutions like the Newark Museum, where I developed immersive, year-round educational experiences for diverse groups of learners. I currently manage and lead education initiatives at Columbia University’s Mind Brain Behavior Institute, including neuroscience research mentoring programs that connect high school students with scientists and real-world research.
Across all of my work, my teaching approach centers on hands-on, inquiry-based learning that supports different learning styles, builds curiosity, and helps students see themselves as capable and confident learners.
Qualifications

Background
Chidi Paige is a passionate science educator, program designer, and lifelong champion of hands-on learning. As a kinesthetic learner herself, Chidi understands firsthand what it feels like to sit in a classroom where learning doesn’t quite “click.” That experience didn’t hold her back — it fueled her. For the past 23 years, she has dedicated her career to creating dynamic, engaging science experiences where children don’t just listen… they build, experiment, move, question, and discover.
Chidi has taught middle school science in the classroom and designed innovative STEM programs at the Newark Museum, where she developed immersive, year-round learning experiences for young explorers. She currently manages education initiatives at Columbia University’s Mind Brain Behavior Institute, where she has led neuroscience mentoring programs that connect students directly with researchers and real-world science.
At the heart of her work is a simple belief: when children are allowed to learn with their hands and their curiosity, confidence follows. Chidi’s mission is to help every child — especially those who learn differently — see themselves as capable, curious, and brilliant problem-solvers.
