Experience
I feel like I’ve been teaching forever without ever having actually been a
teacher! I started with Sunday school kiddos and confirmation classes, coached 7/8th grade,
high school and college level cheer teams, VBS bible stories and day care classes all before
having my son in 2013 which made me a life long teacher. Since then I obtained my
SLPAssistant license and have worked with EC through high school ages in both private therapy
settings as well as public and charter schools. I withdrew my son from public school in spring of
2023 and my daughter the following fall and have been homeschooling them since. I’ve been a
Girl Scout leader in my daughters troop since 2021.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in psychology with a minor in athletic coaching. I have
continuing education in communication disorders and am a licensed Speech Language
Pathology Assistant.
Fun Fact(s)
I was born and raised in Michigan. I don’t miss the snow but I love teaching about it. I
also LOVE llamas!
Background
My husband Adam and I have been in Texas since 2012 having moved here from
Michigan. We’ve been married since 2009 and have 2 kiddos.
