I am related to the Allen Brothers who founded Houston, Texas.
I was born in 1965 in Galveston, Texas. At the age of 19 became a prison guard for Texas Dept of Criminal Justice. I then became a Texas police officer in 1986, at the age of 21, with Harris County until my retirement in January, 2016. I was assigned to patrol for 20 years. I served the remaining 10 years in the Civil Division which included being a Baliff for one of the busiest courts in the state.
I started TKD at the age of 10 and obtained my Black Belt at the age of 15. I have competed in approximately 40 tournaments before becoming a professional kickboxer for a short period in the 1980s. During that time I was ranked 3rd in the world in my division and fought on ESPN in 1985 as semi-main event. I was trained by world champion Ishmael Robles in Galvestion, Texas for 10 years. I have also taught TKD over the years at several different locations.
I have been married to my wife, Teri for 28 years, and we have 2 adult children, including our other children - 2 cats and a dog. Our heart in life is to try to glorify God in everything that we do.
