Fun Fact(s)

My father was in the Air Force, so we moved around a bit.  I was born in Spokane, WA, then moved to Labrador, Canada for three years.  My last childhood move was to Fayetteville, NC so I like calling NC home.  I have a special love for Greyhound dogs, British television and Diet Mountain Dew.

Background

After graduate school, I primarily worked at YMCA’s and universities, managing and developing fitness programs.  My university years focused on student development, and I was able to teach courses for credit at the university level.  I have been working with children, through part-time YMCA work, volunteer church work, and homeschooling for over 40 years.  I married my husband in 2004, and we finished out his Army career in Fayetteville, NC, the town where I grew up.  After my husband retired from the Army, we moved to the Houston area where I began homeschooling my son who will graduate in the Spring of 2027, having taken classes regularly at Extraordinary Education.
